Description

The RA series reducers, in aluminum and RG and RKE, in cast iron, have been appropriately modified to make them suitable for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres due to the presence of dust and/or gas, in accordance with the European directive ATEX 94/9/EC. Consequently, their name is modified by introducing the prefix A. They can operate in the environments identified by:

• II 2D, zone 21
• II 3D, zone 22
• II 3G, zone 2

and can be coupled with certified and approved FIMET motors of the same level. As reducers, i.e. simple mechanical parts, they can also be used in environments identified with:

• II 2G, zone 1.

In this case, however, the motor to be coupled must be chosen appropriately, outside the FIMET range.
